Top tips for successful negotiation even when you're not in the same room as your negotiation counterpart. 

Anyone who has attended The Complete Skilled Negotiator will be aware of the multitude of nonverbal behaviours that a person could exhibit in a face-to-face meeting. Graduates of the workshop will also know how to recognise and adapt to this behaviour to optimise their negotiated deal.

The truth is however, that increasingly frequently we do not negotiate face-to-face and rely on phone calls or other non-visual communication during our negotiations. That may be a tactical choice by one of the parties or an effect of time pressure or geography. Whatever the reason, there will be times when picking up the phone is the best, or only, option.
